Back in the blogging saddle, eh?

Gotta love DA Carson. I like what he said about the arguments over the 10% thing too. And how our arguments tend to center around how little we can get away with giving.

This message certainly flies in the face of the American consumerist message doesn't it!

You are welcome, Miss Trudy. And, thanks for posting! Your comments are always welcome, whether or not they are "out of order of exegesis" or not.

But, I don't think your comment is out of order at all. Thomas has a very specific list of "requirements", which Jesus specifically meets when he appears. This parallel between the paragraphs is definitely intended by John, and is one of the major points of the passage. This is true even on the word level - Jesus uses Thomas' very words when he appears.

What a demonstration of mercy.

Sam,
Thanks so much for this study, I was blessed. One of the things that this passage has also spoken of to me was the Lord's knowing exactly what Thomas doubt was though he had not spoken them to Jesus and the Lord's mercy reached out to him. Perhaps that is out of the order of exegesis but is a part of what John gave to me through the telling.

I'd love him to stay, but hard to say no to the money.

He might be 3rd in the draft, behind the 40 year old freshman, and Durant (who I'd draft).

I agree with you. I think whether he stays or leaves, they are a top-5 team. I think with him, they are preseason #1 next year.
